It was essential for the home to reflect the family’s individual style which is evident from the façade, through to the playful use of colour internally. One the most unique features of the home is the large solar PV system. Designed to not only supply the home during the day but also store surplus energy for use at night with additional power to charge the family’s electric car. Sustainability also runs through to the choice of the building method used which comprised minimal brick and the majority being timber framed construction with various complementing external cladding materials.
